Are there updates for WorthIT Software? How do I update my software?

Updates for the program appear every few months or so on our website's Patches Page Section. There is no set time in which an update will appear; checking the website every quarter year or so will keep you updated with the latest release of your software.

To check the release date of your software, open up WorthIT Fixed Assets and click on the Help menu at the very top of the screen. Go down and click on About. The release date should reflect the most current patch up on the website. If not, please install the update.

Installing the Patch

1. You can download the update from the Patches Page Section. If you have received the update via e-mail, save the attached file to your computer.
2. Once you have saved the file to your computer, close all applications and double click on the file within Windows Explorer to begin installation.
3. You will be asked to enter the path to the application directory. The application directory is the directory that contains the WFA70.EXE file. The default path that is displayed is  C:\MRS Company Limited\Worthit Fixed Assets For Windows 7.
4. If you are running the program locally (from your computer), this is likely the path to the application directory. If you are running the program from a server, enter the path to the application directory on the server. If you are unsure of where the WFA70.EXE file is located, you can perform a “Find” by clicking on your Start button, selecting Find and entering the file name. Perform the Find on your local machine and then on the server.
5. Once the correct path to the application directory is entered, click OK to begin Installation. The patch is a self-extracting program. It will automatically update all your application files.
6. To ensure that the patch was correctly installed, open WorthIT Fixed Assets, select Help>About from the main menu. Your release date should now reflect a more recent date, which can be found on our download page.
