Does WorthIT Fixed Assets support floating year ends?

The year end cannot be changed directly within WorthIT Fixed Assets if there are depreciation history records on any assets.

Depreciation history records are generated after performing Depreciation or Year-End Runs and Updates. They can also be generated by importing history (from CSV files) or be entered manually by the user. If any single asset in your asset book has a depreciation history record, you cannot change your year end directly within WorthIT Fixed Assets. You can check your depreciation history by running a Depreciation History report.

If necessary, WorthIT Software can perform a year-end change for you. Please contact WorthIT Software for further information on this procedure.

If you have a floating year end, this can be accommodated by adjusting the percentage per period in the Period Table set-up (provided your company is Period Based). This allows you to control how much depreciation is taken in any period of the year.
